Other things you can do are look around this site and make decisions for yourself. Questions to ask yourself might be, "Do I want to join an RPG in its starting phases?", "Does this RPG look fun, interesting, and exciting?" and "What can I do to contribute to this RPG?". There are probably others that are more important to you than that, but those are a few that perhaps should be considered.
